How do I start a calculation?
Search or choose a group in the toolbox, then enter dimensions using the units beside each field. Results update as you type. Inputs describe workpiece geometry; check machine X diameter/radius conventions, tool orientation, and controller offsets separately.
Which tools and controllers are supported?
There are 49 tools in 10 groups: geometry, cutting, threads, grooving, macros, material weight, inspection, conversion, contour nodes, and code reference. Program and macro outputs are Tier 1 empirical templates declaring FANUC 0i / Macro B only. They are not machine-validated or certified for other dialects. Check the machine manual, simulate, dry-run, and trial-cut before use.
Why do some fields need to stay blank?
Tools such as the taper solver and V-groove solver require a specified number of known dimensions. Leave unknown quantities blank as directed. Optional fields may have default rules. Expand Formula & conditions on the calculation page to review the complete input requirements.
Why must I choose a geometry solution?
Line–circle and circle–circle conditions may have multiple solutions. Choose the one matching the workpiece direction. Inputs always use the Z / r radius plane; results can use X=2r with mirroring and offsets. Candidate circles do not select a machining arc or cutting direction.
How do I save and back up my work?
Drafts are saved automatically per tool. Save calculation creates a separate snapshot. Export a JSON backup in Settings, then merge it using the file picker. Merging keeps existing drafts and preferences. The iOS app and the earlier web prototype use different backup formats; do not mix them.
Languages and offline use
Choose English, 简体中文, or System in Settings → Language. All calculations run locally without an account or internet connection. Opening the support website and sending email require a connection.
How do I report a calculation or program issue?
Stop using any output you suspect is incorrect. Keep the tool name, inputs, units, expected and actual results, app version, and screenshots. Email them to turnertool@163.com, removing confidential drawings and unnecessary personal data. We respond according to the issue and do not promise a fixed response time.
